Members and Friends of Jackson Church,

As I watched what was happening today in Washington DC, I found myself continuously praying for our country. I began talking with my children about what was happening and how as a Christian we should react. I reminded them that Christians have been the light of Christ throughout the world regardless of government over the past 2,000 years whether in times of peace or unrest.

Regardless of your political persuasions, I invite you to pray with me for our country and for our neighbors. It is a time for the church, the body of Christ to express our faith over our politics by our actions and prayers. Let’s love our neighbors as God has loved us.

This is a call to take action in the name of Jesus Christ. This is a time to find and manifest peace through the Prince of Peace. This is an opportunity to love our neighbors and bring hope through our love in the name of Jesus Christ.

With the love of Christ,
Pastor
