“‘“The Lord bless you
    and keep you;
the Lord make his face shine on you
    and be gracious to you;
the Lord turn his face toward you
    and give you peace.”’ – Numbers 6:24-27

God is God in all time and all situations! He is for you, your parents and your parents’ parents, your children and your children’s children. It is important during difficult times in life to remember the good that God has done over all times. He is God of all time and all of your time.

We have all been through tough times in different ways. This experience is unique, but it is also similar to other times in many ways. God has brought you through those times, and He will bring you through this one. He is with you and for you! What was it like when you came through the other difficult times? When God pulled you through and calmed the storm?

Take some time today to remember using the verses as a guide. When we write it helps us to make ideas concrete, so I want to invite you to write down the answers to these questions (and maybe even share them on Facebook with your friends):
How has the Lord blessed you?
How has the Lord kept you?
How has the Lord been gracious to you?
How has the Lord given you peace?

The following link is to a newer song called “The Blessing.” It is repetitive in a way that you can just close your eyes and sing (or say the words). The song just takes a few different verses from scripture and puts them in this song, but the words are powerful. Below are the words:

The Lord Bless you
And Keep you
Make His Face Shine upon you
And be gracious to you
The Lord Turn His
Face Toward you
And Give you Peace

Amen, Amen, Amen
Amen, Amen, Amen

May His Favor be upon you
And a Thousand Generations
Your Family and your Children
And their Children
And their Children

May His Presence go before you
And Behind you,
All around you and within you
He is with you

In the Morning, in the Evening
In your Coming
And your Going
In your Weeping and Rejoicing
He is for you, He is for you
