As we move past Thanksgiving into the Advent season, it is hard to step away from the stress and busy events of the holiday season. However, it is always beneficial to deviate away busy schedules to remember why we are celebrating this season; the birth of Jesus Christ bringing Peace on Earth.
Sunday November 30th marks the beginning of the season of Advent, ending on Christmas Eve. We invite you to join us on the four Sundays in Advent as we anticipate the coming of Christmas and the birth of Jesus! In addition to these special Sundays, there are other events happening during this time that we invite you to participate in:
We will be hosting our annual Living Nativity, sponsored by our Christian Friends Forever group, on Saturday, Dec. 13th at 7pm. This live re-enactment of the Christmas story is performed outside so be sure to dress warmly! Soup will be served beforehand at 6pm.
Christmas Giving Tree
Each year we have a giving tree for children in need. These children are referred to us by Angel’s Wings shelter, Anchor House, and local schools and families in Jackson. We provide a Christmas gift for each child. The tree with gift requests will be available Nov 30 through Dec 14.
Christmas is fast approaching! On Wednesday, December 24th we will be holding our three candlelight Christmas Eve services – 4:30pm, 7:00pm, and 11:00pm.
We hope to see you soon!
