Grief Share Ministry Team

Would you like to help those who are grieving the loss of a loved one?  Do you have good listening skills and a firm foundation in Jesus Christ?  Our Grief Share Ministry needs your help!  We are trying to meet the needs of those in our community, who are grieving a loss, with the hope of Jesus Christ.  If you are interested in becoming part of our Grief Share Facilitator’s Team, email us at [email protected] to let us know.

Worship Musician Internship

You’re an instrumentalist or a singer. You don’t have a lot of experience playing live or in a church service, but you’re proficient on your instrument and want to get better. Your faith is important to you and you’d like to see if you can use your musical talents in church. You’re willing to make a commitment to the team for rehearsals and play on Sunday mornings several times each month. You believe God has given you musical talent and you’re looking for the right place to use your gifts and see people come to know Christ. Jackson Church could be the right place to bring your skills to life. Because we’re not looking for employees to hire, we’re looking for leaders to empower. We’re not looking for role players, we’re looking for game-changers. And you might be that person.

At Jackson Church, worship is more than the music before a sermon. Worship happens beyond the walls of the church every day. Worship Musician Interns will practice leading others to live their lives like the lyrics of a song, continually praising God for His love and goodness. If you agree, you could be what we’re looking for.

We are currently looking to bring on 2-3 Worship Musician Interns to:
1. Rehearse with the band every week and play in church several times each month

2. Learn and experience how to use their musical gifts for God through the church
3. Spend the summer intentionally growing in their faith.

Spiritual Gifts and Qualifications Helpful for the Job
• Committed to growing in their faith

• Proficient instrumentalist or singer with a desire to practice and improve
• Responsible and committed to practicing and rehearsing regularly

• A team player with good communication skills, high energy and a positive attitude

Responsibilities of the Position
• Practice and prepare music for weekly rehearsals
• Use our online planning and scheduling system to be in-the-know for songs and Sunday mornings
• A regular practice of prayer or another spiritual discipline to grow in faith
• Build positive relationships with members of the band, tech team and congregation

Possibilities for growth
* Learning and performing the newest sounds and songs
* Lead the band in rehearsal and on Sunday morning

* Participate in other music activities around church such as preschool, Jackson Arts Ministry and more

Worship Technology Internship

You’re an aspiring technology creative who loves graphic design, video production, music production or maybe all three. You don’t have a lot of experience in a work environment, but you feel confident in your skills and want to share them. Your faith is important to you and you’d like to see if you can use your musical talents in church. You’re willing to make a commitment to learning new multimedia tools and being a part of the production team on Sunday mornings several times each month. You believe God has given you your passion and talent for technology and you’re looking for the right place to use your gifts and see people come to know Christ. Jackson Church could be the right place to bring your skills to life. Because we’re not looking for employees to hire, we’re looking for leaders to empower. We’re not looking for role players, we’re looking for game-changers. And you might be that person.

Worship Technology Interns will practice using technology to crete worship experiences so that others to live their lives like the lyrics of a song, continually praising God for His love and goodness. We are currently looking to bring on 2-3 Worship Musician Interns to:
1. On graphics, sound, video and more, support band rehearsals every week and serve on the broadcast team several times each month

2. Learn and experience how to use new and different technologies for God through the church
3. Spend the summer intentionally growing in their faith.
