UPCOMING EVENTS
CHRISTMAS GIVING TREE – starts Nov. 21st and all gifts are due by Dec. 12th wrapped
The Christmas Giving Tree is an annual outreach event. Each year we have a giving tree for children in need and children of families referred to us. The children are referred to us by Anchor House Shelter and families in the community who call us seeking help. We provide a Christmas gift for each child. If you feel you can purchase a gift for one or more child in need, please use the link to Sign up Genius or stop by the church on Sunday and select a child to help from our list. Any questions e-mail [email protected].

POINSETTIA DURING ADVENT AND CHRISTMAS ARE A WAY TO REMEMBER OR HONOR YOUR LOVED ONES – Sunday, December 5 at 10am during worship
We are setting aside a special time for remembering and honoring loved ones on Sunday, December 5 during our worship service. The love of those relationships are significant. God has blessed them. Also, for those we are remembering who have gone to be God in heaven, we recognize God’s amazing grace through Jesus Christ.
We will be reading the names and placing a poinsettia in the sanctuary for each loved one that will remain in the sanctuary until Christmas. If you include a picture of your loved one, we will show it as their name is read on December 5. You can make a donation to cover the cost of the poinsettia, but it is not required to participate. To participate in the time of remembrance click this link to list the name(s) and order your poinsettia(s).
PLEDGE SUNDAY
Sunday, November 20th is Pledge Sunday. Pledge Sunday is an opportunity to support Jackson Church by planning your 2022 giving. Jackson Church sincerely appreciates all the donations and commitment to the ministry of Jesus Christ from each member! Let’s pledge towards 2022 so we can do even more ministry in Jackson and around the world as we continue to love as we have been loved by God and make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. STUDENT DAY – Sunday, November 28
United Methodist Student Day is November 28, 2021. It’s a day when we celebrate our United Methodist students and receive an offering to support scholarships for qualified United Methodist applicants.
We are grateful for our students and their desire to fulfill their dreams. Our students are the future of The United Methodist Church. Let us honor them in a special way on Student Day. When you give to the United Methodist Student Day offering, your gifts support the Gift of Hope Scholarship that is awarded to United Methodist students annually.
Please pray for our students and add the date to your calendars and be prepared to support our students.
Thank you.
THANKSGIVING LEFTOVER LUNCHEON – Sunday, November 28 following worship at 11a

You won’t believe the mayhem – and the fun – when the Herdmans collide with the Christmas story head on! Before the play, performers from our dance and vocal classes will take the stage and present what they have worked on over the past few months.
